Maxime is faced with an uncertain future when his father dies from a genetic disease. He must choose: a genetic test or a leap into the unknown.
Wouter Bouvijn (born in 1987) graduated from the Rits filmschool Brussels in 2012 with great honors.
‘Crossroads’ is his graduation short that recently won the price for best debut film at the International Short Film Festival Leuven (Belgium) and the grand juryprice at the Premiers Plans filmfestival Angers (France).
With his first shortfilm ‘Thanatos’ he won the Eye-Lite award at the ‘Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film’. That award helped him fund a part of ‘Crossroads’.
Next to writing and directing he is also active as an editor. He was the editor of the documentary ‘Miles Away’ by Daniel Dumitrescu, Bram Mervillie and photographer Titus Simoens.
